THE ELAN VALLEY 10 MILE ROAD RACE 2011

The Elan Valley 10mile road race was held on Saturday 19th November 2011.

This race is also part of the East Wales Road Running Championships and follows a scenic but demanding 10 mile loop around part of the Elan Valley.

THE SECOND ELAN VALLEY 10 MILE ROAD RACE 2008

A big thank you to all the runners who competed in the 10mile race on Sunday and all the marshals and volunteers who helped make the day successful for all.

Apologies to some of the front-runners who had to negotiate some colourful characters from the local area. We plan to man every gate with a Marshall to avoid any problems next year.

The weather was much improved and allowed runners and spectators alike to appreciate this wonderful part of the Elan valley and we hope to see you all next year.

The first Elan Valley 10mile road race was held on Saturday 24th November 2007

The course was demanding yet inspiring.

The weather was dreadful,

The competitors were buoyant,

The marshals were cheerful,

and the atmosphere was friendly but focused.
